What Is Ads Function On Amazon Merch Account?

Advertising on Amazon Merch On Demand is a function that help you to promote your design and rank your listing better.

It help more people easier to see your product when they search a keyword relate to the keyword you are running advertisement.

For example: When we search “dog shirt” on Amazon. It will priority to show product that is running ads with the keywords is “dog shirt”, then show product with good ranking relate to “dog shirt”

You are showed first so the change you will get the order is higher.

How To Know Amazon Merch Account Has Ads Function?

When you log in to Amazon Merch On Demand, if it has the words “Advertise”. It means it has actived advertising function.

Which Tier Can Have Ads Function?

From tier 100 to above, you can have advertising function.

Amazon will have random time of review to tier up and active advertising function for account. You will have to have good sale, active, upload enough design to get active ads.

Set Up & Add Bank To Run Ads

• Step 1: Go to Amazon Merch On Demand dashboard and click “Advertise”

• Step 2: Click on marketplace you want to run ads. For example, you will click advertise on Amazon.com (United States).

• Step 3: Choose your campaign type: Sponsored Products

• Step 4: It will move a page set up new campaign and a warning appear: “You need to add a payment method to launch your campaign”. You will click “Billing and payments”

• Step 5: You will be moved to “Set up your payment settings” & choose a payment method. Please choose “Credit or debit card”.

• Step 6: Now, start set up your advertising account details.
  • Account manager identification: Choose “Advertiser/Brand owner”
  • Advertiser Name: Choose the Full Name on “Creator Information”
  • Address line 1: Get address on “Creator Information”
  • Zip/Postal code: Get Zip/postal code on “Creator Information”
  • City: Get city on “Creator Information”
  • State/Province/Region (Optional)
  • Country: Get country on “Creator Information”
  • Emails: Input the email you use to log in Amazon Merch. Usually also the “Business email address” on “Creator Information”

• In the billing details
  • Click “Use Account manager’s address as billing address
  • Account identifier: Choose the Full Name on “Creator Information”
  • VAT registration number (Optional): This is optional, no click on it.
  • The text “I accept and acknowledge all of the terms and conditions of the VAT agreement”: You not input VAT number so can not click this button –> Ignore it.

• Credit or Debit card session:
  • Input your card number: You can use credit card/debit card/virtual card such as Payoneer, Pingpong Virtual Card.
    • Note:
      • To run ads, you will need to add “Credit or Debit Card”. NOT “Bank Account Number” – Which is use to add on Merch Amazon setting to receive money from Amazon. It is different things.
      • For example, you have account Merch in the past, you use Credit Card Number 1 to add on that account. You work and got close already. Then you buy another account from Sonny, please note that :Do not use same credit/debit card to add to the new account you just bought.
      • Always remember the same rule: Each account, each bank account number, each credit/debit card.
      • Same name is okay, but has to be different credit card.

That is basic set up for you to start set up one campaign and run advertising. Now you can go back to this step and choose campaign type you want to run.

Run ads is important and necessary to scale your business and have more sale. But make sure you prepare enough knowledge and design good enough. Last but not least, check trademark/copyright.
