Amazon’s Ranking Algorithm – Advertising Position On Amazon Merch

Amazon’s Ranking Algorithm – Ad position – Current status of new samples up

In group. I used to specialize in FBA, but sometimes I also work as Mentor Merch, now I would like to share this post with you.

Amazon’s ranking algorithm

Amazon will rank an Asin based on the following factors:

– The number of sales of Asin with keywords in a certain period of time. For example, Helium 10 has a CPR which is the number of applications it takes in 8 days to get to the top half of Page 1 per keyword (Picture 1). This is the most important factor that Amazon relies on.

– The relevance of Asin (the shirt pattern content) to the keywords users search for. For example, name the shirt model according to the keywords that users search a lot. This factor is necessary but not decisive.

– Secondary factors such as: Impressions – Impressions / Visitors – Clicks will be considered when the Asins are not on sale or have very few sales.

Status of the new Up

Most of the new Up model will be located very deep, there will be little or no traffic. That Asin can satisfy the Relevance factor for ranking on Amazon.

If the topic keyword you choose is a keyword with few competitors, after 2 – 3 days of Upgrading you can go to Page 1. But usually these keywords do not have many searches, causing low sales.

If you want to make a lot of sales, you must do keywords or topics that many users search for, but at the same time, the competition is also very high. And if you want to get to the top, you have to run Ads.

Ad position

As mentioned above, if you want to get to the top in high volume search keywords, you must sell / Must have traffic. But the newly uploaded model will sink on page 5-6, if you want to have Sale and Traffic, you must run PPC – Ads on Amazon.

When running PPC on Amazon, there will be 4 following positions:

  • Brand – Photo 2 – High Traffic – High Bid – Causing a loss
  • Top Of search – Photo 3 – High Traffic – High Bid – Causing a loss.
  • Rest Of Search – Photo 4 – Low Traffic – Low Bid – Few sale.
  • Product page – Photo 5 – High traffic rate, if you have run PPC, you can check the Placement section of the campaign to see that this position accounts for the largest percentage of traffic. (Picture 6 of Placements).

If you want to rank the Austrian model to the top, you must run PPC – ads. When running Ads, the part will be displayed on the Product Page. In this position, most customers, when pulling from the top, have formed a Mind set of products and designs. And your T-Shirt will appear among many other t-shirts. Immediately, customers will have a very strong comparison on the price, design and review of the shirt model.

It is for this reason that when ranking new products, the parties running strong Ads like Born accept losses, let the price break even and spend money to run Ads to rank to the top as quickly as possible.

If you have Helium 10, you can check that in each shirt model at the top there is a chart of the price line below the avatar image of Austria (Picture 7).

Most of the competitors when running ppc let the price be low initially and then gradually increase the price.

Hope this article will help you understand how to operate Merch and PPC on Amazon.

In the next post, I will talk about the solution if you support it.
